The Atrium and Rooftop Terrace give your team another place for coffee breaks and conversations between sessions. These are shared Upperhouse spaces. Exclusive use can be arranged when all three private function rooms are hired together.
Executive Chef Wayne Alger brings years of experience from some of the region’s best-known kitchens, including Bathers Pavilion, XO and The Inn. His approach centres on fresh local produce, with catering prepared onsite for your event.
Choose from half-day or full-day delegate packages with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea options, plus freshly brewed coffee, premium teas and water throughout your event.
Lunch can be more than a quick bite between sessions, with options ranging from our Tokyo Bento Bar and Smokehouse Table to curries, pasta, salads and more. We can also accommodate dietary requirements.

The Upperhouse is the events space above the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan. With three private function rooms, a light-filled Atrium and open-air Rooftop Terrace, it hosts everything from weddings, celebrations and corporate events to live music and dining events.
The Upperhouse is upstairs at the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan in the centre of Queanbeyan, just 15 – 20 minutes from Canberra.
Yes. A lift provides access from the ground floor to The Upperhouse. For guests requiring step-free access, the Monaro Street entrance to the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan has ramp access. The Upperhouse also has an accessible toilet.
Yes. Free public parking is available nearby in the Morisset Street and Rutledge Street car parks. Time limits apply in the Morisset Street car park.
Complimentary Wi-Fi and presentation equipment are included in the venue hire, with AV varying by room.

Yes. Manhattan can be used as the main plenary room, with Menzies and Beadman set up as two separate breakout rooms.
This gives you the flexibility to bring everyone together for presentations and key sessions, then divide into smaller groups for workshops, discussions or team sessions before coming back together in Manhattan.

Yes. Half-day hire is available from 9:00am–1:00pm or 1:00pm–5:00pm, with full-day hire available from 9:00am–5:00pm.

Yes. You can move from the working part of the day into post-conference drinks, canapés or dinner without having to organise another venue.
